Jamil Ahmed, Mohammad Abid Ghani and Fiona Fargher set up Shanklys Solicitors, having previously worked for various legal firms in Chester, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford and Bolton. One of their main aims is to advise and assist victims of accidents to recover maximum compensation as entitled by law.

During their time working for these firms, they recognised that victims of accidents are now becoming increasingly aware of their legal rights but were unsure who to turn to for simple, accurate and trustworthy advice.

Many victims of accidents feel uncomfortable in approaching a Solicitor. This results in victims either suffering in silence or being advised wrongly. Therefore, our aim is to provide friendly, clear and simple advice about making and funding a claim. Advice is given in plain language with legal jargon kept to a minimum!

Jamil and Abid decided to address these concerns and guarantee a service which is exceptional but simple and includes the following:

1.   Initial "no-nonsense" advice including a one hour interview about making a claim is always free.
2.   If your claim is reasonable, genuine 'No Win No Fee' is explained in simple terms.

Whilst we will conduct your case on a 'no win no fee basis', circumstances may arise where you may be liable for your own and /or the other sides costs, which will be explained to you in detail if we decide to take your case on.

3.   Our advice is always provided in plain English.
4.   Advice is also available in Urdu, Punjabi and Hindi.
5.   No deductions made by Shanklys from your compensation.
6.   Quality personal service from a qualified lawyer.
7.   Every effort is made to ensure your case is dealt with by the same person from start to finish.

Jamil and Abid, who both studied together at University, are experienced Solicitors with over 10 years experience in various areas of the law. Both are accomplished advocates and have successfully represented clients in the Magistrates, Family and County Courts. Both are also members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
